ABOUT CAREER DIMENSIONS

A short history of Career Dimensions

After working for more than twenty years in the careers and employment field, Julie Farthing founded Career Dimensions in 2001, realising early on that the world of work would become increasingly complex, and along with this that the need for qualified career practitioners would grow. This vision proved correct, more and more people and organisations are realising the value of enlisting the support of independent career services.

Over recent years demand for our services has increased significantly. Consequently, the business has developed to the point where meeting the needs of our clients is well beyond the capacity of one or two people. So, in 2008 affiliates were carefully selected from around Victoria and in 2009 Julie's role has changed to one of overall management of the service. She will also remain the central contact person for organisations and career practitioners.

We are excited about this new phase, and we hope you will be too.

Our services

We are a one-stop shop, attending to all career and work-related issues. If you are making a choice to use the services of a qualified career consultant, you will find we can deliver better results. Because we have a team of affiliates, we can provide a higher level of service. One consultant might work with you on a range of needs, or you might have the benefit of two or more. We have put in place procedures to ensure your right to privacy is maintained; all our consultants are members of the Career Development Association of Australia and must comply with a strict ethical code. However, sharing of information (with your permission), means you benefit by not having to 'repeat your story' each time you meet someone new, and benefit from the combined expertise of two or more experts in their field!
